About Us

Blossoms is an in-home day care which was started in 2003. We have a small group of children so that each child can benefit from personal interaction with both the teachers and other children. We are conveniently located across the street from Astoria Park and reside within a private home. The only residents of our home are immediate family. There are no renters, there is no landlord. This ensures that your children will always be around trusted adults. Our teachers have over 60 years of combined experience in both traditional and Montessori systems.

What Parents Think

It is hard to express in words how fortunate we feel to have found such a wonderful place for our girls. Both of our girls attended Blossoms for over two years and were cared for with love and patience. Teachers at Blossoms approach each child with individual attention and develop them at their own pace. I appreciate the motherly love my children received from Marlene and Angele and all the advice and encouragement they have shared with us. Angele Pace

Angele is the co-founder of Little Blossoms. She has 25 years of experience in early education. Angele received her Montessori training at The Children's School House in New York. Angele has been University trained in all aspects of early education, specializing in children 0 to 5 years old.

Prior to starting Blossoms, Angele was a lead resource for an elite nanny service which provided well-qualified private, live-in nannies in exclusive environments. In this part of her career, Angele worked for multiple Fortune 5 CEO families as well as leaders in the Art and Fashion industries.

Angele is originally from Malta and is proud to continue her family's tradition of education.

Marlene Darmanin

Marlene is the co-founder of Little Blossoms. She has more than 30 years of experience in early education. She has been formally trained in the Montessori method at The St Nicolas Montessori College in London. Marlene also attended the Montessori College in Rochester Michigan followed by a position at The Grosse Point Academy. Marlene received her A level education from Oxford University.

Prior to starting Blossoms, Marlene was the Head of the Toddler Program at Les Enfants Montessori School in Astoria, as well a private nanny for several high-end clients around the world.

Marlene is originally from Malta and enjoys her 3 children and 1 grandchild.
